Blogging Basics Workshop

Do you have a message you want to share with the world? Have you got something to say that you believe everyone needs to hear? Or have you got a product or service to sell, and you need to get the word out? You should start a blog.

It's not nearly as scary as it sounds, and I'll prove it to you.

Blogging Basics is a two-hour workshop on how to prepare and share your best content with the world. You'll learn everything you need to know to set up a basic free Wordpress blog. Or, if you'd prefer to go more professional, you'll also learn what you need to know if you want to purchase a domain and host your own blog.

Main Topics Include:

• Navigating the Wordpress dashboard
• Understanding the site stats page
• Creating and managing category names
• Publicizing your posts to your social media accounts
• Scheduling your content to post automatically
• And much more!

In this course, we'll focus mainly on the free blog option, but the strategies and habits we'll talk about developing will work for either a free blog or a paid one.

Bring a laptop and something to take notes with. I'll provide the cookies and coffee. We'll have a great time!
